Sure!!! This would be good students and for mid-level gamers!!! Look at all the RAM and al the hard disk space!! Get it when you can!

There is no graphics card in that list. Better buy at least a 9600gt so that u can play the slighest of games in the low graphics. If you want to play games in high graphics in high resolution, you might consider buying a 9800gtx. Anyway, if you have none, the integrated graphics would not be able to handle even HD movies, and even a simple game in low graphics.

yes its a good configuration, but sounds a bit pricey.you could get something similar at pc world for around £600.

WHY TOO MUCH RAM AND HARD DISK………THIS SYSTEM IS NOT FOR YOU.
AS YOU NEED A SYSTEM FOR A STUDENT THAN IT WILL NOT BE A RIGHT CHOICE……….BUT IF YOU ARE A GAME FREAK AND WANNA SEE MOVIES ON UR SYSTEM THAT IT IS FOR YOU.
MY PERSONAL OPINION IS DON’T GO FOR THIS ONE……….BY A CHEAPER ONE WITH 2 GB RAM AND 260 GB HARD DISK…

Are you a power user? needing multimedia and large capabilities? Willing to be ripped off big time by spending an equivalence of nearly 2000 usd on a system that’s not worth it? Then yes great machine, buy it. I am stateside and personally Toshiba,ASUS an Acer are good choices (known more for their reliability, double check by going to http://www.cnet.com they have all the professionals ratings for different machines unbiased of course plus user ratings). I don’t know if you have bestbuy of if bestbuy in the us ships world wide, but if you go to the outlet center, they have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898 for $640USD with 4gb ram 320hd and similar specs. This unit is a special edition with Harmon Karon speakers and fancy case. But in all honesty you can find a better machine that will meet your needs under a grand. I am a fan of manufacture refurbished units or store units because most of the time they are just returns or if it had been damaged all parts have been replaced and are warranted. For your needs and the fact that in two years your probably going to want a new one anyways I would do that. I have a Toshiba and I have used it so much that I started to wear the information off the bottom and the space bar is smooth no problems and I am not a casual user. ( Now for specs you cant go wrong with a processor that is dual core (Intel only ADM SUCKS) over 2.5ghz, 3g+ram, or a hd over 300) Best of luck to you hope my advice helps.
