The 2 computer are similar but the Studio Slim Desktop has a better processor.
If you want this for gaming you would still need a better graphic cards.
Since you said “will eventually get an upgraded graphics card” I wouldn’t buy either of them. They are both slimlines and use low-profile video cards. Not one big boy of the video card world that comes in a low-profile configuration. I suggest you buy a tower that uses full sized cards.

As said above the Studio Desktop has a better processor…but you might want a new graphics card
