Processor, Memory, Video Card, Sound Card, Webcam and Bluetooth are pretty good; hard drive is okay, on the smallish side for the other specs; Vista sucks, but you get McAfee not Norton on the plus side.
It sounds pretty good, it’s a fair deal for $1500, it’s about what you’ll get in normal stores at the moment.
Looks to be pretty decent for the dough
I find it too expensive. but the computer has great specs.
I don’t know much but I dont think this computer is worth 1500..
I like this setup better,

2.http://computershopper.com/feature/build…
3.http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthre…
(Large photos, long page. Detailed review)
4.http://www.directron.com/asusc90s.html (One of the websites that has it. I would use the 320GB Sata harddrive they offer, and Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. I don’t like SP/3, but this can be dealt with. They have Vista also. I wouldn’t use any of the processors they list, nor the ram, nor MS Office. Read on)
5.Here is the GRAPHICS CARD for it. They’re out of stock, but you can find it on the ‘net. It’s an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB’s of DDR2 graphics ram. This means YOU can upgrade the graphics!
Also it is a GRAPHICS CARD, and not Integrated graphics!
6.This is the processor I would use, http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDet…
An Intel Core2 Duo E6600. Has TWO processor cores that operate at 2.40GHz EACH. Has 4MB’s of L2 cache, and a 1066MHz Front Side Bus. Yes, it’s a DESKTOP PROCESSOR! This means YOU can upgrade the processor any Ol’ time you want! The Asus C90s, will support up to an Intel Core2 Duo Extreme Edition X6800!
7.This is the ram I would use,http://www.memoryx.net/asusbjg.html
That’s DDR2 ram that runs at 667MHZ. The Asus C90s will support up to 3GB’s of it.
The Asus C90s comes as a ‘barebones’ laptop. You have to buy and install the processor, ram, harddrive, and graphics card.
The barebones Asus C90s comes with,
1.A 15.4 inch ColorShine Glossy LCD screen.
2.Built-in 2.0 Megapixel webcam. It’s in the Top/Middle of the LCD screen frame. It has a FaceTracking Feature you can enable, or not.
3.Fingerprint Reader and large touchpad.
4.Built-in Bluetooth, you can enable or not.
5.Has an HDMI port. You can plug a large screen into it, if you desire.
It has the processor power and graphics, you know!
6.Has an eSata port. Plug an external Sata drive into it.
7.Has a 8-in-1 Card Reader.
8.Comes stock with a Dual Layer SuperMulti DVD Combo drive. Will recognize all formats of CD’s and DVD’s. Will play AND burn, CD’s and DVD’s. Will use dual layer disks if you want. There are HD and BluRay drives available.
The list goes on and on.
If this thing had a better graphics card, it would smack Alienware Area 51, and Blackhawk laptops around! I have read where Asus is going to offer better graphics cards, late this year. (Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX?
Hmmmm, how about the GeForce 280GTX!)
With the E6600 Core2 Duo, 3GB’s of ram, 320GB Sata harddrive, and the above graphics card it comes to less than $1400!
As for MS Office I would download OpenOffice for free, and kick MS Office to the curb! Anything generated in MS Office, can be used on a computer that has OpenOffice. Anything generated in OpenOffice, can be used on a computer that has MS Office! The User Face of OpenOffice is very similar to MS Office, so crossing over is NO prob!
Not worth it.
You can get similar from Dell (which, is the brand you are buying from) for MUCH less. Check out the Vostro line, unless that LED is super-important to you. Also check out HP dv5t/dv4t/dv7t. They are nice, well built, and i believe they have LEDs for cheaper.
