There are quiet a few network media devices now on the market , for example D-link and Buffalo make products that are hardwired and also support wireless communications , but the issue with the back up is that its about software , this companies are not bothered by that as there are seprit devices for that , and this companies will not waste they money right now for back up software development , its not viable for them and not many people want or need that in they networked media player . your best option is to buy one and then manually just send Ur files to the harddrive on this media player . there u go u have a back up. i am also almost 100% sure that there is software that will help you make back ups http://www.downloads.com and search for back-up software.
