I Need A Network Operating System?

I need to find a network operating system that performs the following the following:
-sets up network security
-maintains a backup system
-provides remote access
Please give me links if you do know anything

    windows server ’08, Linux (if you know how to use it), and mac os 10 server. those are the dominent NOS’s at the moment.
    I am confused why you are asking this question. If you don’t know about NOSs, why are you setting one up with specific needs? It’s not something to do without prior knowledge of what you are doing.

    You can use Microsoft Server 2008 if you can invest money. or you can use Ubuntu linux which is easier and free of cost.
