I’ve got to finish my computing coursework task for tomorrow but I’m stuck, I need to find 2 network operating systems that can set up network security, maintain a backup system and provide remote access. I already have windows server 2008 down but I need another, my teacher recomended Linux but I cant find any linux network operating systems! I really need help guys fast answers much appreciated! oh and a link would be handy! thanks guys

    I would reccommend a version of linux called Ubuntu. you can find it at ubuntu.com. There are several versions of ubuntu, and one of them is called a SERVER EDITION. it should help you out a lot.

    Drivers are kind of hard to find, but if your machine was made within the last couple of years, you will be able to find drivers somewhere. You will have to look, but they exist somewhere/

    Windows *IS* a network operating system. Linux *IS* a network operating system.
    What you found, and what you seem to be looking for are SERVER operating systems – that’s different. Try http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download – the Server edition.
